Sherrill Spencer, A&R Tech 3, has been named May Employee of the Month.
This is what was written with her nomination:
I have relied on Sherrill to keep my student records in an accurate and timely manner — for my entire GWC career. Sherrill is always cheerful and patient, and she has good communication skills for both faculty and student problems. One of the things I especially value about Sherrill is I know I can rely on her for the latest updates on our incredibly complicated computer student records. She is always willing to do whatever is necessary to not only explain how the latest monitoring update works, but also to make sure I grasp the connections between the different systems. I know when I ask her what seems like a simple question, she will be able to “see behind” it and give me all the record-keeping information I need to monitor and update my records. In addition, I know I can count on Sherrill for accurate records, even after several semesters. She is a master of the “tribal knowledge” details that makes the whole school function. And most of all, she always smiles!
