Measure M Construction Update: 7-1-16

Measure M Construction Update:

Student Services Project:  Building plans have been approved by DSA.  The bids are Board approved and we expect to start grading activities the week of 7/11.  The fencing north of the main quad has been relocated closing off the road.  This road will be closed for the duration of the project until March 2018.  Additionally, starting next week a portion of the road north of the Student Center and west of Cosmetology will be widened to accommodate the high volume of construction traffic that will navigate that turn into the project.  Please follow all caution signs and flagmen direction as this work is installed. Criminal Justice Project:  Building plans went to DSA for review and approval on 5/19.  We anticipate some early utility work and demo of the Community Center this Fall semester, pending DSA approvals.  Remaining trees to be removed for the project in August.

Math/Science Project:  Building plans went to DSA for review and approval on 5/17.  We anticipate demo of the Auto Body, Graphics Bldg. and the old Child Care facility starting in August, pending DSA approvals.

Security Project:  Plans have been approved by DSA.  This project has been bid and will go to the 7/13 Board Meeting for approval.  Construction is scheduled to start in August ending in December.

Theatre Project:  The theatre will be closed for June and July for replacement of seats and carpet.
