Public Safety/Community Education/Main Entry Project: Masonry work is ongoing at the Building site with concrete trucks coming and going for grouting. The drive aisles west of the new building, Industrial Design, ATM and Graphics are closed until the morning of 8/17/15 for the installation of a new sewer line. The fencing at the Main Entry site will remain at the current location with the road closed in front of the LRC as well as the public sidewalk along Goldenwest St. Soil export will start next week with trucks coming and going in the north parking lot. Noise level is expected to be moderate onsite.
Campus Fiber Cabling Project: Contractors will be throughout the campus accessing building IT/Phone rooms and manholes. Equipment will be onsite to repair some of the damaged asphalt at recently trenched areas on Monday 8/10/15 on Main Street, between Cosmetology and Fine Arts and west of the Volleyball courts. There will be a power shut down to the South Fine Arts buildings(Gallery and Division Office both floors) Friday 8/14/15 at 4am into the morning hours. The exact duration is still being finalized. A follow up announcement will provide that duration if it runs past 8am.
Facilities Updates
- Fine Arts helicopter lift complete, units being connected
- Admin units will be broken down on Tuesday, Aug. 11th and helicoptered off on the 12th
