Part of the SSSP funding is tied to Student Educational Plans (SEP). DegreeWorks is a new web-based software application that digitizes the SEP creation process. It looks at a student’s program of study (degrees, certificates, transfer paths) requirements, as well as the coursework they have completed to produce an easy to read audit of courses completed versus those needed to complete the selected program of study. Students are able to create various SEP scenarios, then meet with a counselor to refine and formalize their plans.
Students and counselors can access DegreeWorks online at any time through their MyGWC account DegreeWorks channel (located on their respective student or employee page). Look for more information coming soon, including a schedule of workshops designed to introduce the DegreeWorks program to students.
