Public Safety/Community Education/Main Entry Project: Roofing work ongoing. Drywall work starts next week. Site underground utility work ongoing. Periodic road closures may occur due to deliveries. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and be cautious as they travel around the construction site. Main entry sign work to continue next week. Periodic closures may occur at the main exit during the sign work.
Student Services Project: Construction fencing has been installed. This fencing will remain up during the duration of the project. Access between the Forum2/Music building and the Old Library will be closed off after the semester ends for the duration of the project. No access will be available between Cosmetology and the Old Library until the Spring Semester 2016. The restrooms at the northeast corner of the Old Library are closed as well as the access road outside of the old MDF room between the Old Library and Fine Arts. Once the fencing goes up many different activities (utility shutdown, debris removal, abatement, etc.) will be taking place in preparation for the demolition of the building which starts this Winter Break. Piping work continues on the roof of the Student Center. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and flagmen around the site.
Signage Project: Gothard sign work ongoing. Waiting on confirmation from CVS for the work at McFadden/Goldenwest to start. Waiting on DSA approval for Edinger/Goldenwest and parking lot entry sign work to start.
Kaplan/ Criminal Justice Projects: The berms just east of the Theatre as well as east and south of the Community Center/Admin are being removed for the work at the Kaplan and Criminal Justice projects in the future. This includes removal of all trees and shrubs that are on the berms. This work will continue for a couple of weeks. The access road between Parking Lots H and G will be closed periodically as work is progressing. There will also be periodic road closures in the H and I parking lots adjacent to the berm work for the next couple of weeks. The trailer north of the Theatre will be removed starting on Monday, 11/30. The road between the amphitheater and the community theatre from the Gothard parking lot will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, 11/30 & 12/1. Please follow sign and flagmen directions during this work.
