Public Safety/Community Education/Main Entry Project: Framing, electrical, plumbing work ongoing at the building site. Roofing to start on Monday. Periodic road closures may occur due to deliveries. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and be cautious as they travel around the construction site. Main entry-exit lanes will be closed on Tuesday 11/17 for soil removal at the bio-swales.
Campus Fiber Cabling/ New MDF Room Project: Final phone system cutover work to take place this weekend. Work will be taking place in the new MDF room as well as in the manholes between Fine Arts and the Old Library. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and be cautious as they travel around these areas.
Student Services Project: Construction fencing will be installed Monday morning 11/16 around the entire old Library. No access will be available between Cosmetology and the Old Library for the duration of the project. The restrooms at the northeast corner of the Old Library will be closed as well as the access road outside of the old MDF room between the Old Library and Fine Arts. Pedestrian access north and south between the Music/Forum 2 buildings and the fencing will be available until the end of the semester. Once the fencing goes up many different activities(utility shutdown, debris removal, abatement, etc.) will be taking place in preparation for the demolition of the building which starts this Winter Break. Welding of pipe will continue this week in the trench area south of Cosmetology. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and flagmen.
Signage Project: Gothard sign work ongoing. Waiting on confirmation from CVS for the work at McFadden/Goldenwest to start. Waiting on DSA approval for Edinger/Goldenwest and parking lot entry sign work to start.
