IPD provides opportunities for faculty teaching 7.5+ LHE to attend conferences, seminars, or workshops for professional development.


Part-time Faculty  (teaching ≤7.4 LHE):

A faculty member can receive up to a maximum of $1,400 in IPD conference funding per academic year.  A single request can be funded up to 100% of actual permissible expenses (including food, mileage, and parking), up to the $1,400 limit.  Funding is limited and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.


How to Apply

  1. Complete a Conference Application (CAR form). Available in the IPD Office (LRC Annex) or Bursars Office (first floor of Student Services Building).  Hard copies only; not available online.  <How to Complete the Application form [PDF]>
  2. Attach information about the event such as a conference announcement, brochure, agenda, and registration costs.
  3. Signatures: Applicant signs as “Originator”.  Obtain your department dean’s signature (“Administrator).
  4. Submit the signed and completed conference paperwork to the IPD Office no later than noon on Friday, November 30, 2018.


There will be no additional opportunities to receive IPD funding approval for conference/travel taking place during January through March. Retro authorization is not provided.
